Was quite annoyed that the prices advertised here are not the real price. We turned up and we dont have yha cards so the put the price up, i couldnt understand why they dont advertise the real price and just put it down for yha members when they arrive. Also the staff were not very helpful and they put me in a dorm with 3 males which i dont think is appropriate.

I like your kitchen very much. It's well equipped. But all rooms need to have lockers for every guest.

The place was really clean and tidy which was nice and the facilities good but internet was overpriced. The attitiude for environment was great too. Although it is a big hostel there is not much atmosphere. People keep themselves to themselves and don't chat mingle or socialise much ...not really a fault of the hostel though I guess. Overall really good and we went back again before our departure flight to Oz :)

Excellent kitchen facilities & was super clean. Good security but no lockers in room & had to purchase lockers for $2 which can only be used once. In the centre of Auckland which was good..
A typical YHA, 'does what it says on the tin' hostel. Not much atmosphere or banter to the place but very good on the basics like facilities etc. Not a fan of paying for safety deposit boxes, no help to backpackers on budgets! Good location to explore the city.

The showers smelled like urine in the girls bathroom. They really should fix this problem.

I loved the fact that there are so many communal spaces to relax in and the kitchen was very well equipt and tidy. The rooms were also cleaned to a high standard and all the cleaning staff were very friendly
