This hostel was one of the worst ones that we stayed at during our 5 week trip to Europe. My friend and I took the overnight train to Nice from Bordeaux and therefore we got into Nice around 8:30 am. After arriving at the hostel around 9 am we were told that our room would not be ready until 12/1pm. Being easy going we said that it was ok and we put our luggage in the laundry room...or something like that which was definately not very secure as the cleaning lady was constantly going in and out of it and therefore it wasn't really locked. We went to the beach which was only 2 blocks away (one good thing) to pass the time until our room was ready. We went back to the hostel around 2pm and our room still wasn't ready. Apparently the lady who ran it changed here mind and put us in a different room...So, we proceded to have a shower in the kitchen...and went to Monaco for the rest of the day. Upon arriving back at the hostel there was a party in progress in the kitchen was was right next to our room making it very noisy. This hostel is located in an apartment building and therefore we woke up to noise as well as the permanent residents went about there daily activities. I definately would stay here again. Our room should have been ready as the hostel is not very big and therefore wouldn't take very long to clean...basically I feel like we were ripped off as we didn't get into our room until we came back from Monaco late at night.

The first night was good, but then after I asked and paid for a second night, she had overbooked and so I had to sleep in the laundry room on a really thin mattress on the floor. She took 10 euros off my total, so that was good at least. Only stay here if you are up for an adventure and willing to accept some dissapointment. The lady running things seemed a little crazy.

This place is amazing. It is a block from the beach and right in the heart of the city. The staff are really nice and pretty much let you do whatever you want as long as you clean up after yourself.

This Hostel crams far too many rooms into a tiny space, the communal area is practically non-existent, bathroom/shower facilities are a disgrace, no lockers in rooms, the lack of AC makes the rooms unbearably hot........... I could have gone on. I had checked into a hotel round the corner within an hour!
