1- A twin bed is not a couchette, and the cheaper ones that ikea sells are not very confortable. 2- I have never satyed in a room as noisy as this one!! You can't get a good night sleep even with ear plugs, and the noise goes on all nightlong! 3- The building should be closed for security issues. It is a ruin waiting to collapse. 4- The checkouts are too early: 10 am after several nights of poor sleep is a very cruel thing to do! 5- In my many years of travels and hostel experience I have never seen a light switch of a private room being located on the OUTSIDE, so anyone passing through the corridor can turn the lights on or off in your face while you're trying desperatly to sleep. Not very smart or practical. 6- The small window ( facing the kitchen that can only be used by the staff and that gives a very special aroma to the bedroom) had cracks in it, with drafts of cold night air coming in from the outside along with the smell.

Best choice if you want to stay in Barcelona! The location is great, you can walk everywhere you like, Les Rambles, the harbour, even Sagrada Familia is just a walk away! Metro station is just around the corner, no problem to find the hostel when you come from Reus (Airport). Staff is very friendly+honest (I forgot my mobile there, they sent it back to Germany!). Although it is placed right in the center of Barcelona it is a quiet hostel! It is very clean, VERY RECOMMENDABLE!

Too much noise during the night

We enjoyed ourselves but being much older than most we found climbing up in a bunkbed a bit of a challenge and the noises and smoking of others was a little more than we liked.

Me sorprendió mucho la bonita terraza del hostel, bien decorada y con mucho sol, el salón con películas de DVD y sofás y la amabilidad y buen trato de los chicos y chicas de recepción y limpieza.

My friend and I were originally put in seperate rooms for the first night and then we were to switch into another room the next night, but thanks to the nice girl at the front desk she was able to change that. Besides that the location is really good, since its between 2 metro stops and there is this really good falafel place right across the street. It was very nice...i would definitely recommend it to others.

It would have been nice to have a kitchen and more showers. The staff was friendly and helpful. The metro is quite close but the neighbourhood does not feel too safe in the evening.
