Very pleasant experience. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, very prompt assistance checking in, and just a few minutes walk from the train station. Metal bunk beds could be a little noisy if someone was moving in bed. Linens, blanket, and pillow were clean and nice. Very secure- three locked doors to get to your room (outside, hostel apartment, room). Would definitely stay again next time I'm in Nice.

This hostel is very centrally located, just a few blocks from the beach. The rooms, bathrooms and common areas are very clean.

This hostel serves well as a bed and a springboard to any worthwhile destination in the city. It's a little cramped, given that the kitchen is the only room that isn't a bedroom (it can serve as a common room, though, and it's well enough equipped with dishes, a fridge and a microwave).

The check-in was difficult because there was nobody in the hostel nor in the doorbell indicated for these cases. No room for the backpack after the check out.

Except for the slightly run down location this hostel rocks.

Although hostels.com messed up my booking, the woman at Chez Patrick was very kind and only charged me for the one night.
The room was very hot and there was no fan or air conditioning. There is also no lockers for your things.
It is close to the train station, shopping and restaurants. The area is safe as well.
The only bad thing was it is a 15 mintue walk to the beach and bars. This is not that bad however, the main street was under construction and there was no buses.
At chez patrick its very hard to meet people since there is no lounge area. But if you are with others it is good enough for a place to sleep.

one of thebest hostels i've stayed! clean &cosy, the rooms with wash-basin, walking to the shower you'll listen to loungemusic, patrick &his wife are very nice & helpful and the 10-15min walk to the beach is not too bad, because you'll walk along the main shoppingstreet (and there will be a tramway soon). - one of the best hostels i've ever stayed at!

Patrick was great...very nice and always with a smile on his face. Kitchen only had a sink and fridge so we couldn't really cook anything but there is a huge market nearby so we were able to get cheap food. Everything is clean, but the rooms get pretty stuffy and hot (during the summer) if you're in a 6-person room.
