  • I like how there are individual rooms. I don't have to worry about leaving my things out. Staff was friendly and helpful. The hostel could be cleaner though. Other than that I enjoyed my stay there.

  • Having never stayed in a hostel ever, Toyo really exceeded my expectations! Made some pretty awesome friends and would definitely return there if I was to go back to Osaka.

  • This is cheap and you're getting what you paid for. However, it's difficult to find a better price for a private room anywhere in Tokyo and you will still be happy with your stay.

  • I booked 3 nights in the air conditioned single room and 1 night in the non air conditioned single room. Personally I found the non air conditioned room better because there was no moldy smell, the straw matting on the floor seemed newer and cleaner, and the wallpaper also seemed new. The air conditioned room had stains on the walls and on the blankets, and I couldn't really stand the moldy smell. Otherwise, the shower room (only on the first floor) and the bathrooms were nice and clean.

  • In general this is a good place to stay a couple of nights. I stayed just one night so I cant judge a lot. I didn't love the location because I felt it was a bit off the city center if you like to walk.

  • This place was in a good location, but the directions were bad. We wandered around for 20 minutes in the sun until we saw it was down a little side street without a sign. So for anyone trying to find it, when you exit the train stop take the east exit and turn right. Then cross the street at the first light (I believe it's taishi) and go left once you've crossed the light. Walk along for about one minute until you see a coffee shop then turn right and it'll be on your right.

  • This place was terrific value for money! The staff were great, very helpful and friendly, and the location was good for transport to Kyoto and Kansai airport. It was also possible to walk to the happening area of Namba, though it took about 20-30 min. The best part was the private rooms. I was really happy about being able to leave my stuff without worrying about it being stolen.
