The website neglected to mention that the hostel is a five minute BUS RIDE from the beach, which makes a difference. I arrived after a long day of travel to a loud party that continued in the room until 3 am (the staff did very little to keep it contained). The next morning, I moved to Cabinas Picsis, which had private rooms and bathrooms, was on the beach, and very cheap. The staff was VERY helpful- I would really recommend staying there.

Regarding the bus, it is specified in the reviews of the clients and in our webpage that we are not on the beach but a 5 minutes by bus/car. Concerning the party, they arrived at Saint Patrick's day, therefore, 99% of the guests wanted to celebrate. Normally, quiet hour is at 10.00 P.M.

I had an amazing time at Backpackers Manuel Antonio. It was much nicer than I was expecting. Having all the hammocks and the pool was great. The view was amazing. The staff was so nice and helpful, especially the Italian girl (sorry I forgot your name!) Jason, from USA ~ 11th Mar 2009

We only stayed at the hostel for 1 or 2 nights. It has been a while ago. The view from the hostel is very nice, overlooking part of the ocean. Especially at sunset it is great. Their is a nice pool to dip into. Beaches are a bit of a stretch away but the bus stops right in front of the hostel. We forgot the battery charger of our camera.
