It was my worst experience in a hostel, all the staff that were working there look like drunk and druged!! and is important to say that the people in the staff were selling drugs for the people whichwas staying there!!!!! and I had made my reservation in october and I had Payed for it! when I arrived there they don t even know about my reservation!, but they gave a bed against all, and at the next day I went to the beach, when I got there my bed had been reasigned to a girl from Netherland!!!
Hi Maria, your charges against our staff members are now part of our law department. If you can�t prove anything, you shouldn�t charge. The first rule at our hostel is that drugs are not allowed inside the hostel, and you will be asked to leave the hostel immediately. We are very professional and we have staff rules also, as we are an example for everyone staying here. We don�t drink while working, drugs are not allowed at our hostel. This are 2 things out of many others that a company with 8 years of experience in hostels is pride of not doing. We do enjoy working at the hostel, maybe we seemed drunk for you, but theres just our happyness and sense of humor thta you certainly didnt understood. You enjoyed a situation that we had at the time at the hostel( rainned too much in Florian�polis and we got 2 rooms flooded) to create problems at the reception. Theres a 5* hotel next to the hostel, maybe that can suit you. Sunset Team

Its a nice place to stay, nice view.. Beach (Praia Mole) is in walking distance. Stuff is friendly and really helpful... Speaking English fluently (no brasilians).beds are quit okay and the female dorm is nice. Some other dorms are not that nice, because you have to walk through them to get to your dorm... But when season starts at the 1.12 they kind of ripping you of: you have to pay more and they put some extra beds in the rooms. It's a party hostel... Loud music, drinking, party....if you ar
Hey Laura, thanks for your review, even thought you still here!!! We are a party hostel, but we have sound prove system, the rooms are isolated from the bar, so you can get a good sleep in our box spring matresses. We have 3000m square so theres plenty of places to relax also. About prices, all hostels in FLorianopolis changed the prices on the 01.12, as we do every year, and also we change for less once high season is over. We are never rip people off, thats strong word to say. To keep the good work, and good estructure, we have to charge more during this period., but we also add facilities so price can be fair. Our staff speaks portuguese, english, spanish, italian. And we do have brazilians working here..Locals and from different parts of the country, Have safe travels, and lets enjoy Swedish House Mafia Tonight!!! Junior

Backpackers Sunset is hands down the most enjoyable hostel I've come across in my wide array of travels. A succulent combination of beautiful views, lively atmosphere, delicious meals and perfect location. Not to mention, staff that are helpful and awesome.
