- “ If you are just looking for a basic hostel in the perfect location this is right for you! The hostel is right near everything you need and perfect walking distances. The security for the hostel could be better with underbed lockers or something for your bags and also more heating is definately needed now its getting colder! Other than that the staff were helpful and the common facilities were clean. Some facilities listed on the website werent actually available however. I would stay again. ”

- “ I liked this hostel very much and would return and recommend. Nothing too fancy but everything you need at a reasonable price and not too hard to access based on the number of people needing to use them, though sometimes the shower and laundry were difficult to come by. Felt very unassuming and relaxed atmosphere which I appreciate most. Beds were a little worn/uncomfortable but not so bad I wouldn't go back or couldn't sleep well. Was able to cancel and get a refund with notice without issue. ”

- “ very bad hostel, dirty (bathrooms and dorms - seems that there never is a charwoman), beds very uncomfortable, only one shower without warm water, location okay but everything else very bad! I would never go there a second time! ”

- “ Worst Hostel I've ever stayed at!!! Please, please don't do this to yourself just because it's cheap. Here's the skinny: Facilities are very old, small, dirty and smelly. The bathrooms (sinks, toilets)are filthy, tabs are broken and the 3 showers have only freezing cold water!!! Beds are NOT clean and some have them have bedbugs... if someone moves out they spray the bed with Febreze (Room Spray)... that's basically what they call "cleaning". Staff is also very unfriendly! Kitchen also very bad! ”

- “ The showers in the hostel were not working properly. Two of the three showers did not have hot water… period. You would take a shower and the water would actually get colder. The one shower with hot water would alternate between scalding hot and ice cold. I've stayed in better and CHEAPER hostels in Toronto. I don't see the point of coming back to this one despite its slightly better location ”

- “ The staff were great and I felt right at home right away. Very helpful and compassionate. I was even allowed to leave my bags at the hostel AFTER checkout, as I had some running around to do before I left. Thanks for the great couple of nights!! I'll be sure to recommend Backpacker on Dundas to my traveling friends. Thanks again! Craig ”

- “ Pillows were basically pancakes. The blinds were broken, light pouring in. All the showers were broken. Only hot plate no cooker. No windows inside the main area, feels like a prison cell. The cleaning consisted of spraying things with febreeze. Major holes in the ceiling. No locks on the rooms. ”
