Backpackers Ceara - Hostel

Fortaleza is an excellent base for seeing Ceará. We are just a few blocks from Praia de Iracema where you will find cafes, restaurants and pubs in abundance. The backpackers' hostel is a wonderful place to relax from the tribulation of life.Adventure see...

There are more downsides to this place than good sides. The only good thing about this place is the price and it is easy to reach by bus. On the negative side it is dirty, no towels, no hot water, no breakfast and your have to buy your own toilet paper. And it is far from the fun in Fortaleza. You should not walk outside the hostal after 9 pm. We stayed there for one night. Okay if you need just one night in Fortaleza.

This hostel is not good for socialising or meeting other people as there is no social activities or socialising areas. The rooms are nice but very basic and we had to buy our own toilet paper. The area of the hostel is dangerous at night. I would only stay in this hostel if i was passing through for one night as the owner does speak english however its not a place i would stay at for longer than one night

I wanted to stay one night in this hostel, but I had no answer at my request by email. So I have choose to go somewhere else more professional.

Gent molt amable, pero els hi falta passar l´escombre mes sovint. Zona comú agradable pero llástima que a la cuina li falten estris.

When we stayed it was kind of like a ghost town there was only the two of us and two other guests so not the best place to meet people. It was a really nice place but could do with some work to it,

I really loved this place, where i could find many people all over the world. I'm Brazilian and everyone there treated me very well. The palce is simple, but enough for sleeping and taking a shower. They also have a kitchen, where I could prepare my meals. The city is great, and the low price of the accomodation let me save money to spend in trips near the city. The security in the place is good too, I didn't have problems about it. Gisele, the owner, is a very nice person, and very helpful. It's very easy to go from the airport to the hostel by bus. I recommend.

The location was ok for certain things but not for others. Only cold water, you don´t really need hot showers in Fortaleza but it will be nice to have the option! Bathroom full of bugs, fan ceiling sooo noisy you couldn´t sleep with it on.

nice place if you are a little common with Brasilian life. Gisele runs the place on her own and does a great job. It is to small to really meet a lot of people, though. it is very simple but the garden is nice an shady.

The room and bathroom were both dirty. The staff gave us completely misleading information about the bus service north to Jericoacoara.
