  • I stayed in a private room. The hostels in this city are expensive, so no way around paying $30-40 for a dorm and $50- plus for a private. I loved the atmosphere. It was a cabin-like atmosphere. Great for socializing. Great information. Not the best location from train station and city center. Great location for skying.

  • The staff kept on coming into our room unannounced just to "check on us." I swear he was trying to walk in on us changing. They charged us almost 20 euros because one of the people in my group left her unworn shirt on an unoccupied bed. The staff members then walks in at 6 am screaming and yelling that he was going to charge us. Very unprofessional.

  • BEST HOSTEL EVER!!! Super friendly and helpful staff, comfortable place to stay, good security, bar, grill, games room, and front desk will book activities for you. Location is pretty good too; easy to get to. So it's not the cheapest (but then again Switzerland is super expensive so there's that), but totally worth it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

  • I definitely recommend this hostel. Staff were very nice and helpful. Room and bathroom was clean. The location was also good: it wasn't too far from the the railway station (in case - there was a bus), shops, pubs, postbus stop.

  • Balmers is a very popular hostel to stay in withing the backpackers community. We loved Balmers; the staff was excellent and very fun. We stayed at Balmers for the 4th of July and were welcomed with American flags hung all over the hostel. We celebrated Americans Independence Day at Balmers with the staff and fellow travelers. The hostel provided a free breakfast, but also had a restaurant to choose from as well. I would recommend going to Interlaken and staying at this hostel.

  • The two hostels we stayed in Switzerland are great, comfortable, clean and nice breakfast, the only thing is the socket in our dorm doesn't work very well, it cannot grasp my adaptor and plug, sometimes the shower room is a little not enough.
