To whom it may concern, From my point of view, We booked a 5th mixed bedroom, and I paid for it, but we got one of 12 connected and with common outdoor with onother room of 10 people. Only two dirty showers and 2 dirty bathrooms for...30?40?50? travellers?...I don´t know exactly. Anyway...I just expose my impression, but I consider this hostel as the dirtiest and so negativ impression I´ve ever been. Thank you very much

So, most people have really awful things to say about this place, and I'll admit; it's not for the faint of heart. If you're looking for a hotel, stay in a hotel. If you're looking for a bed in a good part of town and a good chance to meet some interesting people, you'll be at home here. Speaking a little Polish will take you far here, since the staff speaks precious little English, but they're all really good people and they'll try hard to make you happy, even if they're not really clear on everything you're saying. One of the staff members makes soup almost every night of the week; it's free and almost always delicious. So, I'll preface your stay here with the following caveats: A) do not stay here if cigarette smoke bothers you. B) do not stay here if you don't like FREE DINNER. C) do not stay here if you insist on staying in hostels staffed by young people, or if old people make you uncomfortable. In conclusion, this is a really cool place, but I'll agree that it might not be for everybody. My instinct says give it a shot, and if you don't like it, there are other hostels in the city. good luck.

They have raised the price (5 pln more) without changing on internet (which is still unchanged, 2 months after), nice surprise! Security : awful!! No key to lock the room, and no cupboards and lockers. Moreover, they don't even ask for identity card at your arrival! No curtains in the room, we were awaken at 5.30 by the sun, nice too. Staff : they don't speak English very well, so don't expect them to give you any reliable information! Fun : only one internet station, a TV in a little room for everybody, this room is for internet, TV, reception, eating and smoking!! Cleanliness : showers and toilets are not very clean, moreover, there are only two showers for many people. And finally, the breakfast is terrible! I do not recommend it, I went to other hostels in other towns, same price but much better !!

Security : awful!! No key to lock the room, and no cupboards, they close the room when everybody is outside, so if we do not leave the hostel but are not in the room, everybody can enter your room and steal something! Moreover, they don't even ask for identity card at your arrival! Staff : they don't speak English very well, so don't expect them to give you any reliable information! Fun : only one internet station, a TV in a little room for everybody Cleanliness : showers and toilets are not very clean, moreover, there are only two showers for many people, you must queue a long time to take a shower. And finally, the breakfast is not good : no choice, no chocolate, no cereals, no yoghurt, no fruit, no orange juice, only bread (we cannot toast it), thick red marmelade, coffe tea and eggs. I do not recommend it, I went to another town, in a hostel only 5 zlotys more per night and it is great!! (nathan villa)

I would never stay here again. Granted there was a festival going on so it was packed the first two days I was there but it continued to be gross the rest of my stay. Showers need new faucet heads and there is no place to put your stuff. Cramped, smokey, and loud.

The Baltic was OK if you only wanted a bed to sleep on, other than that, the bathroom was really small and the breakfast is horrible. The staff on the other hand was there to help you if needed and the location is right by the train station.

DONT STAY HERE UNLESS NO OTHER OPTION IS AVAILABLE. The female staff members are sour faced and unhelpful. Smoking is allowed in the interent/dining/common room which has is no ventilation (windows closed) and the room becomes unbearable very quickly as all staff members sit and smoke all day. There are 2 showers to share between what was about 50 people = no hot water.

The exterior was a little off putting but inside the hostel was fantastic. Everything you could ask for and more all for the grand total of £6 per night.
