  • A renovation is in order. There were cockroaches in the room!!! :( My uncle couldn't finish his beer because a cockroach was swimming in it!

  • I don't understand many of the comments below. This is an OK hostel, perfectly located, rooms are ok, bed sheets are clean and fresh, bar is cool as is the court. Yeah, there are coackroaches but,hey,welcome to SA.Yeah,the area is not supersafe but it is durban, as true, dodgy and rough as it is - much better than staying in same fake tourist bubble. True, rooms are a bit damp, a bit of ventilation would help. And, please, being used by paying customers, internet should be much cheaper.

  • Conveniently located next to an escort service and apparently in the more dodgy part of town (hence the brothel). Very noisy at night with the bar close to the rooms. Saw six cockroaches running around in the four nights we were there. Not the cleanest place in the world.

  • In all honesty this place was better then i expected, the location is great right near the beach, but i wouldn't go the other way into the city at night. basically you get what you pay for, if you want a cheap place to stay that ticks all the boxes then definitely book here, the bathrooms and kitchen are a little old but there's nothing wrong with them, the bar is a fun communal area, and it looks like they were in the process of renovating so it should be nice when its done.
