Very near to Cheuca metro-strop, easy to find. Friendly staff. Like mentioned in other reviews: maybe the best days are over, but all in all a good budget place to stay. As it is in the center, you'll have to accept some additional noise. Only stayed one night there. Jan, from Belgium ~ 3rd Nov 2011

I would recommend this hostel to other travellers. The staff there was very nice and helpful. They also make reservation for flamenco shows - their recommandation(s) was/were great! Thank you! A bit strange and confusing for me was a "closed" living room during night. Sitting and calm talking with other travellers should be o.k.,if you disturb nobody. But anyway, my stay in the hostel was fantastic!!! I met very nice people and will maybe come back to Barbieri again. I would like :)! See you Carina, from Austria ~ 4th Aug 2011

The place was VERY noisy, both from inside (door bell) but mostly from outside, during the whole night until the morning of the next day, and sleeping was quite challenging. Apart from this was a nice stay. If you need to sleep, ask for a room faced inside. sergio, from Brazil ~ 28th Jul 2011

My husband and I stayed in a private room together and it was great. We had A/C when asked, the shared bathrooms were always clean, and the breakfast was small but great with a toaster. The area is a bit of a party area on weekends but great if you are on vacation. The male staff were very helpful and informative, the female staff were very nice as well but not very informative. All in all, we both enjoyed our stay at Barbieri International and would stay again. Trisha, from Canada ~ 30th Aug 2011

The staff was great. We arrived late and left early. Hot in July with no air conditioning, but what else would you expect? Debra & Luke, from USA ~ 21st Jul 2011

I think the woman who was working the front desk the only night I stayed was definitely on some kind of substance. Was either drunk or on something else which was entertaining however I'm not sure that it's the best for the security of the hostel. Kaytlin, from USA ~ 20th Jun 2011

The service was outstanding. Great location, in close proximity to everything. I felt safe and well taken care of. My perception of hostel changed from this experience. You truly get a lot of the price they charge, highly inexpensive. Highly recommend it to anyone! Johanna, from USA ~ 20th Jun 2011
