Barra Beach club is a really nice hostel, up on a green hill with great view (we're talking about a small hill here, don't worry about hiking up to the hostel or so, it's easy). Great place to stay if you're planning to do a beach holiday and have some party. if you wanna see florianopolis city it's maybe not the best place to stay because it's on the other side of the island, but usually you would want to see the beautiful beaches, and for that it has a perfect location! One of my favourite hostels anywhere (and I've travelled across the USA, Australia and Europe). Very friendly, genuine staff and owner, relaxed atmosphere, fantastic location (you can look at the Atlantic while having your breakfast), great bar which is excellent to meet other travellers, and the delicious all-you-can-eat meals by an Italian chef. The buffet breakfast is also very good. So relaxing to hear the waves from your room - I slept like a baby! BRIAN, from Ireland ~ 14th May 2011
