This place is amazing and a bargain. I felt like I was in a hotel. Breakfast made to order as well as a buffet of fruit,toast and cereal. The friendliest staff and owners. Everyone is really knowledgeable about the area too. I ran into some trouble in Salvador and the owners bent over backward, and then again to make sure we were ok and safe. I would recommend this place to anyone. It really close to the bus stop and shopping area. Has some cool bars and restaurants in the area too.

It was the best stay in Brasil to date. It felt like home. Next time i come to Brasil, Barra Guest House is one of the stops i´ll definitely make.

En general nos han tratado muy bien y nos hemos sentido muy comodos. La Posada es muy limpia, el desayuno es buenisimo y Keiko y Russell son muy amables con sus huespedes.
Solamente un defecto que tienen por solcionar: les falta un baño completo publico para quienes llegan antes del check-in o para aquellos, como nosotros, que luego del check out teniamos aun varias horas de estadia mientras esperabamos la salida del bus o avion.

The owners are lovely and very helpful - I was sick when I was there and they really looked after me. Security wise it is fantastic and less than 10 min walk to beach and very quiet spot even though it is close to everything.

The hostel is situated in a safe and quiet neighbourhood with lots of restaurants and shopping opportunities nearby. The building itself and the rooms are very nice. Some basic information (maps etc.) would be nice, the owners are very helpful though.

it was an excellent stay! the owner was extremely helpful and the room was amaising. the location is really good as well. not too far from the beach and not too far from the shopping centre. it is more of a place to chill out. if you dont speak Portuguese however it can be confusing but once the owner comes he can sort everything out.

This place was great! Russel and his wife were really friendly and suggested things for us to do in Salvador. It is clean, safe, and close to some great places. I plan on staying here when I come to Salvador again.

Barra Guest House: Esta posada resultó una excelente experiencia. Todo muy limpio, la dueña y el personal muy amables, desayuno muy bueno (con cafe, leche, jugos, frutas, pan, mantequilla, queso y jamon). También se pueden guardar alimentos en el refrigerador. Una muy buena ubicación, cerca de pubs, restaurantes, supermercado, farmacia, shoping, casa de cambio y parada de buses y taxis. Además esta a diez minutos del centro historico y de las playas. Muy recomendable. No se arrepentirán.
