Betty was very helpful in planning and arranging my bus trip to Ica. The location was fantastic and try the Pisco at one of the bars along the cobblestone going to the water. I wouldn´t stay anywhere else in Lima.

this is the place to stay if you want to be close to the ocean, nitelife and good restaurants, though it is far from central lima, its perfect if you have a few days and want to enjoy yourself, the hostel itself is very clean, quiet and comfortable, with a relaxing atmospehere and helpful staff

I loved the Barranco's Backpackers in Lima. Great Location. Our room overlooked the Beach. The Staff( Chris, Doris & Betty, Norma, Andrea & Carolina) were very accomodating and went out of their way to take care of guest needs. The property is very Charming with lots of character. Chris the owner provided us with great local information. We were able to visit lima by taking public transportation-very cheap. Barranco;s is the place to stay when visiting Lima. I will stay at this property again if in Lima.

This was a great hostel. The room was very clean and spacious, and even had a view of the ocean. The staff was friendly and always incredibly helpful. It's also just a short walk to the beach, great food and Barranco's plaza. We highly recommend the Barranco Backpackers Inn.

Possibly the best hostel I´ve ever stayed in & I´ve stayed in an awful lot of hostels! Location is excellent,50 metres from the beach in barranco district, right beside the best restaurants & about 500 metres away from the best nightlife in the area - still nice & peaceful though! In your room is a detailed map drawn up by the hostel owner withhe layout of the district which u can bring out with you telling where bars, cafes, supermarkets, restaurants, historical sites etc etc even with what each place is like e.g.bars to relax in, bars to go mad in, international restaurants, peruvian food etc etc. And if you want to stay in they´ve got a mountain of dvds & books to borrow! Unlike so many it is pleasing on the eye, nice brightly painted walls not like the usual grey grim fare. Staff are unbelievably helpful - will even make sure you get up for middle of the night flights!Owner Chris only too happy to chat & give you 100% accurate info so what you want to get out of your trip you get! Also organise all sorts of tours to Machu Picchu/Cusco etc. All at a really good price too. Highly recommended by this generally fussy guest!

A great place to stay in Lima. Barranco is on the south end of Lima with many things to do and more relaxed than the chaos of Miraflores. Its located next to the beach, Barranco Plaza and a great sunset. The drawback is the distance from city center. Hostal owner and staff are great. I recommend it.
