I found the staff here to be disinterested and often rude. I would not recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a unique or friendly experience.

Double rooms very small and boxy(one didnt have any windows and paper thin walls). Dorms good and clean. Good security. The bar and food service is pretty poor.

It was a great average hostel. Floor 2 bathroom needs a fixerer upper-rer. And I dont now what was going on with my room 2007 but the smell of feet - maybe its me and not the room. Good all round but expected more for a more expensive hostel

Great first two nights. the last night staying there, we had two maori bouncers rudely intrude into our room, with no warning straight in and told us "to get our shet and f off" it was about 2am we had only just got back from town. they had come up accusing us of throwing things down all night really there was no need for it. they could of knocked i was just getting ready for bed i could have been naked or anything it was intimidating and a genuine apology from them would have been nice

Roof terrance is very slippery when wet, almost fell a couple of times! Love tha Sauna!
Staff would have rated better if not for one staff member in the kitchen who was frustrating to deal with. Also was disappointed with the toilet/bathroom facilities; no soap in dispensers, no paper towels in dispensers, large hole in ceiling, toilet seat wipe dispensers also empty
