The toilets got a little messy and the roof was closed off way to early, but thats understandable. Definately great staff, GREAT location and the beds were very comfty, all be-it a little wobbly on the top bunk! The down under bar is awesome and I will (and already have) recommend this backpackers again (I have reviewed on virtualtourist.com) We had a great stay!

it's noisy anywhere in the hostel because there is a bar at the basement. i could not sleep well all these days, if anyone would like to have a quiet place for accomodation, this hostel is definitely not a good choice.

I had a really good time at the palace and meet a lot of people, and the location is great! But this hostel has a big problem with bedbugs, several of my friends there have had them in their rooms..

It's place in a good location, with good price, secure and with a job agency however there were few problems: > Some of guys of staff are really arrogant; > The bar under the building is extremely noise so you can't sleep till 2 am. > My bedroom didn't have air conditioner and enough locker for everyone; > The male bathroom had only one shower working (first floor).

There was no hot water in the bathrooms which was slightly annoying. The bar and restaraunt are very good and the staff helpful though.

we stayed in palace for 4 nights and for the 4 nights we got no sleep, its the noisiest hostel i've stayed in. with the pub down stairs people are screaming all night. sum1 smashed a window through at 4 in the morning while we were there. if you want a nice place stay at Palace Embassy instead ;)
This is the best location and the staff are fantastic. The roof terrace was great - a bit loud if your sleeping on the top floor though.
Nice hostel, but still don't understand why there were only two plugs and 6 lockers, in a 8 bed dorm! Down Under bar ws great, except when you just want to sleep...
