Mixed standard of staff. Some were very nice and helpful. Some were distant, verging on the rude. One instance which was very unsettling, was when my bank card had been eaten by the machine and the receptionist just walked off when I asked her what to do, no words of advice for someone in need. I have never experienced such a poor attitude in a hostel.

The bathroom was filthy when i arrived and wasnt cleaned until the second afternoon of my stay. Woke up covered in a rash. Two other girls staying complained of the same symptoms. Put it down to bedbugs when it miraculously disappeared after a night in a different hostel. Hostel full of rowdy English people doing kiwi experience who had no consideration for people wanting to sleep. The bar produced excessive noise which thundered into the room until the early hrs of the morning.

Drunken people having loud conversations in the Hallways tend to spoil it for me. Not much was done about it even after it went on for hours.

I would really recommend this hostel! It gets a great corwd, the rooms are comfortable, the location is perfect and the bar downstairs is a great spot! Slightly pricey but really worth it!

YOU WILL LOVE THIS PLACE. I loved this place, the staff are always up for a laugh, whether there blackmailing you to blow up ballons for a party or your just bored. The bar next door is cool for meeting new people and having a laugh. Each room has its own bathroom to share between 8 and its cleaned everyday and done really well. Lodge is also on the main street, only 5 mintues from everything.

4 of the girls in the room made such a mess that I could barely walking through the room. Kept stepping on the hairbrushes every time i got off the bunk. The bunk creaked too much and shook at every chance.

The interior was very dark. Security was extremely poor and there were people sleeping in the room sharing beds who had been allocated beds in different rooms. There were people running up and down the corridors all night who were extremely drunk and they were screaming. I had a pair of jeans stolen from my bedside. I would not reccommend this hostel to anyone.
