Would stay there again and would recommend. Had to use key to get in girl room which I though was good. Rooms are full but the lockers under the beds are nice. Nice bar at the floor level. Would have like a light near each bed. Bring flashlight to come in at night to the room to be able to see after people have gone to bed. One of the better hostels I stayed at.

Okay if you're looking for a party atmosphere - young crowd. Large hostel and more impersonal than others we stayed in - but it was only overnight before going home. Have to pay for luggage lockers after checkout time if you aren't leaving at that time.

yeah good hostel if your here for a short trip to sydney... good location, but not too loud in the evenings, and very good room for $20. Best kitchen too,open 24hrs! Can recommend!:)

Did not like the fact that you had to pay for baggage lockers once you've checked out. Other than that, this hostel is great. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Sydney.

Base Sydney is a nice hostel. Worth to pay a little bit more to get a good room in central sydney. 15 min walk to opera house and 3 min walk to darling harbour, that's perfect!

Beds need to be longer and more solid, mine squeeked horrendously and for a 6'3" individual they are way too short, especially with the bars stopping your feet sticking out. Air con was amazing, always cool and meant you could sleep with a duvet. 5 mins walk to Darling harbour and about 20 mins to Circular quay. The Scary Canary next door is a nice bar. Really enjoyed my stay!

The reception area is very deceiving!!! You expect to have nice bedrooms when you see the reception, instead you get tiny rooms and very few showers in the bathrooms.

It was very clean and well organized compare to other hostels. Events they have every night was fun. Good place to have fun and socialize.recommended to party animals.
