Great place to stay! Lot's of room, all the amenities you need, and hey, it's a houseboat. Very charming and fun alternative to the usual houseboat routine. I would definitely stay at the Beagle again.
First impressions aren't the best because the Beagle is run down and looking tired; she soon grows on you though and we found it to be a great cosy place to stay. The view over the canal from the main cabin with the NEMO and the VOC ship Amsterdam as a backdrop is excellent. We hired bikes for the 4 days we were in Amsterdam and felt that we had a great family Amsterdam experience living on the water and cycling around the city. Definitely recommend as a place to stay with lots of character.

absolutely amazing. i stayed there with my mum, uncle and friend, and we absolutely loved it. very nice inside, even though some work is needed, but it definetly has character and is the perfect location as smoking is allowed on the boat :) mini bar there is fantastic when you have the munchies.

I loved the Beagle, it is soo great, we had the time of our lives. It is in a great location and AJ seems wonderful!
This is a great place to stay, Aj is a really safe guy. I have found my future accommodation when visiting Dam.

Pleasant owner, great location and quiet. However we would have liked more clean/dry bath towels and been made aware of when the owner was going to come onboard. We also thought it strange to have a \"security\" camera in the lounge area - invasion of privacy. The collection of suglasses in the fridge was also strange! - Prior guests lost property may be???
