We enjoyed our stay in Beirut very much, but we didnt like mihanna so much. When we arrived the mihanna-driver picked us up from the airport. He was nice, but he charged us 25 dollars. The offical price is 20 dollars and at the airport were many drivers who said, they would us bring there for 20 dollars. The Mihanna-breakfirst was very small (once we didnt get something to drink). We stayed only for a short time: a luxury hotel in the Manara-quarter offered us a junior suite for only 9 dollars more. That room was much bigger, we had our own bathroom and the breakfirst was a lot better.... Claudia, Switzerland, 2008

The "hostel" is actually just some guy's apartment in East Beirut, with a few bedrooms laid out for guests. It's not what we were expecting, but it was actually really nice, much better than an ordinary place. The apartment is really nice and clean and in a good neighborhood. We were the only guests and the owner stays away except to bring breakfast each morning, so we had it to ourselves. It's not the typical "hostel" experience, but better. I'd highly recommend it.

The people who looked after us there were very helpful. It's a great place to stay and we met some nice people there. the only bad thing was how for out it was but taxis are easy and cheap to use
claen well presented and very secure location. short walk or taxi ride to city centre.
