  • It's a good hostel within walking distance of a number of interesting things in Beijing (like the Forbidden City, the Lama Temple, and the Drum and Bell Towers), it's in a historic neighborhood, and it's close to the nearest subway and bus stops. The staff is helpful and friendly, plus they organize a number of interesting programs (including trips to the Great Wall, as well as different cultural experiences). All in all, it's a good hostel.

  • This was a nice hostel, great location and with a free breakfast too! The only one we got in China! The dorm was fine and bathroom clean, my only point to make was that if you are a lone traveller it might not be the best option. There is only one tiny tv room to socialise in, which could hold maybe 5 people and was rarely used. So not the best for meeting people in our experience but the hostel is in a great location and is a nice place to stay.

  • I had an amazing time at this hostel. It is located on an alley with lots of shops, restaurants, and bars. Also, it is not far from Beihai Park. The only bad thing about it is that the walk to the metro is about 15-20 minutes, but it is well worth it. Also, it includes free hot breakfast.

  • Amazing location on a very popular Hutong in central Beijing. Nearly all of the great sites in Beijing are walkable from the location. The hostel organizes a great tour to the Wall and has very helpful staff.

  • It's a 'real backpackers' with writing on the wall, a busy common room and lots of activities offered. The rooms are very basic but clean and probably the best price in town. We were a bit disappointed that they couldn't offer one of the programs they advertised(camping on the wall) since that had been our first reason for going there and you can't book online. The staff were helpful in lots of other ways and the facilities are great.

  • All the staff were very supportive and helpful. They were knowledgeable about the area and were able to recommend delicious restaurants and fun tours. I would strongly recommend this hostel to any traveler staying in Beijing.

Practically, Barcelona is a pretty easy city to navigate on foot or by public transport with a well laid-out grid system for the streets and a simple metro system. Here's an example of what you can do with 24 hours and a T10 (10 journey) metro ticket.
