  • Stayed here for five nights - one in a private bedroom and four in an 8 bed dorm. Both rooms were extremely dirty, as were the bathrooms and other common areas. There's no real atmosphere here. Several people seemed to be living there and made it their home - very messy. The staff were extremely unhelpful on all counts. I ended up moving to a different hostel for the remainder of my 9 night stay because it became too unbearable. Location is decent, but basically everything else is awful.

  • I've stayed here twice in a time difference of two years. And I got the same experience. Very good and safe location within 5 min walk to metro. Staff spoke english and did not mind my arrival at 3:00 am. They helped me to find my way to the Great Wall even though their tour was already full (Be sure to book before 9:00 pm of previous day). Room had heater and the showers had warm water (It was -10°C when we arrived). Toilets are dirty and building seems old, but overall is great.

  • It's a good place for party animals, since the location is not far from several bars and turist places. Unfortunately, the hostel doesn't have nice arrangement for Christmas.. It would be better if you can host parties.

  • It was great! We stayed in a 8 bad mixed room. Despite there wasn't empty bad during that time we didn't feel it uncomfortable. The bathroom and the toilet weren't the most clean but they could be used. This hostel is totally worth the money.

  • Good location, really lovely hostel, wonderful Chinese style decoration. Good atmosphere. We were staying in a twin room. Door lock broke once, and I realised how easy to open the locks actually are. Definitely don't leave any valuables in the room. Staff were ok. Interesting bathroom decoration. All in all really nice place to spend a few days.

Practically, Barcelona is a pretty easy city to navigate on foot or by public transport with a well laid-out grid system for the streets and a simple metro system. Here's an example of what you can do with 24 hours and a T10 (10 journey) metro ticket.
