Great location and always a fun vibe. I met more fellow travelers here to pal around with then anywhere else I stayed in China. Everything was tidy and the dormmates lovely. Be warned though if you sign up for the Terracotta Warriors tour at the hostel there will be 2 side trips to a silk store and Terracotta Warriors reproduction store. My group made a laugh of it, but it ate up some time in the day that would have been better spent elsewhere.

Good hostel, and very well located - Only 50 meters from the absolute center of the city, nice.

We have stayed here for 3 nights. We had a corner room on the 3rd floor, nice view! The rooms are a little bit old, but the staff were very friendly, good food, nice place to hang out! Defenitely recommended!!!;)

What a location! Right in the centre of everything so it\'s really convenient for getting around. Staff were great and really will go out of their way to help you. E.g. we were personally escorted to the theatre by one of the members of staff! Great atmosphere in the bar/communal area. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Sheets with synthetic fillings would be good, because a lot of people are allergic to feathers

This hostel will be great once the construction of the subway outside and the renovation inside are complete. The hostel did a good job in trying to keep the renovations from affecting their guests unfortunatily they cannot control the subway construction outside which woke me at three in the morning two nights in a row. I was annoyed that there was no kitchen. This is a running trend in China to have restuarants in hostels instead of do-it-youself kitchens and it\'s beginning to really bother me.

We had a double room and it was just like a cheap hotelroom and much better than we had expected. The location is perfect. We did all the tours on our own (more fun) and it was easy to get everywhere by local busses or walking... The restaurant is good (seems to have the exact same menu as the HI-hostel we stayed at in Beijing) but a lot of people keep smoking sort of everywhere. I guess we are blessed with the anti-smoking legislation in many western countries...

It was very difficult to find at first, because of the construction right in front! A much larger sign would have been helpful! I got a triple ensuite and the room was amazing, very nice! Except for the bathroom doorknob falling off ( a call to the front desk got that fixed right away!) and the cold water taking some time to kick in (again because of the construction) it was great. The staff was helpful and the location was great for tourist attractions!

good hostel location with really helpful staff. It was unfortunate for them that there was construction going on outside that required ripping the front steps off the building, but really it wasn't their fault. They even gave us free beer and a discount because our room faced the construction. In reality, the traffic was louder than the construction, though. The only thing that would have been nice was the address in Chinese , at least characters for the bus stop.
