can't give it great ratings in any of these categories b/c there's nothing outstanding about it. HOWEVER, for the price, this place is a good deal (and even has hot showers). the staff is very helpful and the trek offered through the hostel is very good and much cheaper than comparable alternatives.

You definitely get your money's worth considering we only paid $4 a night, However, breakfast is not free as mentioned on the page. Also the pipes are a bit rusty because the water that comes out of the shower and faucet tastes and smells like rust.

The room was big but bathroom was a bit run-down. On april the fan in the room was not enough for us. Staff was OK, but we had some troubles to find them when we needed service.

I don't think breakfast is really included, unless we missed something. But bikes are, which is cool. Staff are super helpful, really knowledgable.

Maew is quite helpful with information in and around Chiang Mai. For the price, they also offer free bicycle rental and Internet. Maew arranges for tours and treks around Chiang Mai. Only complaint: Maintenance of room should be improved. I hope they will look in to it. Otherwise it is recommended for budget travellers.

We have to say we only rated cleanliness down as from our experience people ignore 100% and this place is a 100%er!!!!! The staff were fantastic and sorted everything for us and were so good when one of us was ill. The restuarant is in a lovely setting and the location puts you in walking distance to everything important including the markets. Highly recommended and we really want to go back!!!

Great place for your Baht. They were very helpful with helping fill out your schedule. The cooking school they send you to is out of this world fun and some of the best food I have had on my entire month in Thailand. The only thing was our bathroom wasn't the greatest, but par for what you see around Thailand in the area of budget accommodations. I will be staying there again in the future
