The Berkeley Residence is like a Hotel and is only a 7 minutes walk away from Downtown. Nice Lobby, good breakfast, nice rooms and nice staff. Good accomodation...was a good choice

Friendly, helpful staff and a very clean, cosy, comfortable and spacious environment. Free breakfast was good, well priced compared to other Boston hostels considering the good location close to subway, train / bus stations and downtown. Very quiet, wouldn't recommend it if you were looking to party hard

Berkley Residence is possibly best bet in the Boston for single female travelling on budget alone. Wonderful location close to everythere, both green and orange line at 5 min walk, great shopping at Prudential, Boston Common around 15 min walk. Hearty breakfast, Internet(fee) on site, clean rooms!

Great Hostel, great locationg, great brekfast, clean rooms, quiet... verry nice, I'm definitly going back.
Only 5 hours from montreal! The best hostel and near all! Specialy gay bars (club cafe, roxy, rise, eagle..1-2 min walk).

The staff were friendly, breakfast and location were really good, and rooms and bathrooms were really clean. However, this is what you might expect for the price, which is more in the hotel than the hostel range. Some permanent residents were rather nosy, which did not contribute to a good atmosphere.

The fact that booking a double room you have to pay it alone should be pointed out more visibly while booking. To me this was not really clear. I thought it only applied if 1 person was booking 2 beds, so for 2 persons.

I like this hostel very much. The only problem is its location. It will be better if it provides detailed information on how to get the nearest train station. I spent a lot of time to find this hostel.
