very nice hostel, big common room, everything is within walking distance, good kitchen facilities for making cheap meals, staff is friendly and helpful

Had a problem with a computer and it ate my money, so when I went to reception, the receptionist called me a liar and only gave me half my money back. Apart from that it was enjoyable.

Like a prison camp. Not fun, rules rules rules. Although friendly not much fun and generally catered for an older traveller. Actually, if under 30 and not in a couple don\'t go to Bern....ever. Still, good facilites, table football, book exchange and was well clean and tidy.

great location in the old town, 10 mins walk from station, clean facilities, good kitchen and common room, small dorms, relaxed atmosphere, highly recommended
Great location (except for close proximity to bars, which adds up to quite a bit of noise right outside the window at night. Rooms and showers always seemed clean. Nice, spacious storage lockers in the rooms with keys provided by the hostel (so you don't need your own padlock). Common room always had a warm atmosphere, with internet and printers available for a reasonable price; another internet cafe just around the corner below the Einstein House.
