We have chosen thise hostel because of the wi-fi accsess, but most of the time it did´t work.

The way this hostel looked and was described online and in brochures was nothing like the hostel turned out to be. The room was filthy, the bathroom had not been cleaned in months, and the front desk (with the exception of one really friendly girl) was managed by people who seemed to consider helping people staying there as a hassle. We were there for three nights and had another night booked later in our trip but were so unhappy with the hostel that we cancelled.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Billabong Gardens at the beginning of May 2008. The hostel was warm and welcoming. The staff were very helpful and very easy to approach. There was free internet at the hostel in a large sitting room which was very handy! The location was good for Newtown and Newtown train station (which is very quick to get to Central Station)- hostel was just off the high street - and we found Newtown to be a brilliant, vibrant place!
