Bob's Youth Hostel - Hostel

Some 25 years ago, Bob decided he wanted a hostel. A youth hostel that is, where young people from all over the world could sleep under the cleanest of sheets without having too pay to much. Bob thought it would be nice to locate his hostel in the centre ...

Bob\'s Youth Hostel was not necessarily the place for me... but I still recommend it! Good things: *Cheap. Definitely a youth hostel with a punk atmosphere. *Plenty of people around. Even though I spent most of the time in bed sick - I met some nice folks. *Age limit - there was only one old creep in the lobby and Bob himself questioned him about his age and kind of insinuated he\'s reached his max age to ever come back. Serves him right, he was hitting on some hot 16yo girls. *Location - near centraal station - and a good starting/endingpoint for a stay in Amsterdam. *Relatively clean! - The really mean janitor does a pretty good job cleaning. Just don\'t get in his way! Not so good things: *The locker storage room/dungeon is kind of ick. It\'s a small cramped cave that smells like rotting food. *The bathroom on my floor was broken - appeared to have been that way a long time. Didn\'t seem like they planned on fixing it. I was very ill and going up and down the stairs was awful. *Mice - cute little mice climbed inside my Albert Heijn bag and ate my sandwich before i could finish it. Luckily I was already on antibiotics for my sinus infection. *2 outlets per room - good luck trying to score some electricity. Nonetheless, breakfast wasn\'t bad, and again you really can\'t beat the location. I\'d go back anyday!

Nice basic youth hostel, has all the necessary facilities; staff were helpful and friendly, nice lounge, comfy beds, hot showers. Only letdowns were the breakfast and the really steep staircase. Overall, a nice, cheap hostel close to central station. Great place to start off.

Nice place to be. Staff really good. The only problem was the bathroom that was broken, so we had to share another one with more people. Location is very good. I would stay there again for sure.

The ugliest hostel of my life! Too many steps, difficult way to go to the rooms. Not too security. The next time, I will prefer go to any other hostel (or hotel), except this one.
