Bodega Hotel in Hanoi, Vietnam

Cheated Ha Long Bay tour package. They charged 30% more and shipped us from APT tour to other tour company(Sinh cafe) also that company requested US$14.00 more for monkey Island. Do not trust Bodega Hotel. Donald, from Canada ~ 17th Sep 2009

Bodega is NOT where Google maps puts it, but it is in the Old District and in the middle of all things Hanoi: local food, shops, and monuments are all nearby. The dorm is nothing special, but adequate beds and bathroom. Free breakfast is a plus, and the staff are genuinely helpful and friendly. Definitely worth the $5. Tim, from USA ~ 20th Aug 2009

Bodega Hotel is a nice place to stay!! We stayed there for 4 days. It was clean, big rooms, good showers, fast internet and a nice and helpfull staff. You can also book small trips at this hotel to HaLong Bay or to the north of Vietnam and they can arrange a train ticket or bus ticket to several places. Why this hotel is not listed in Lonely Planet I do not know! The rooms are clean and comfortable and the $14 USD a night includes a private bathroom, air conditioner, fridge, TV and free breakfast. The staff are the friendliest people in the world and this hotel also has a reliable laundry service and free internet. This hotel is also attached to a reliable tour company so you can book all your tours right at the reception desk and get top value for money. Highly recommended!
