because we arrived late, the reception was closed but our room was opened and ready for us. thank you for this. on the other hand, we could not have the key of our room and we had to sleep with an unlocked door. they should have left the key in the room for us. burcu, from Turkey ~ 13th Oct 2009

To start with the bungalos do not have insulated walls. You can hear everything in the campground, and they get pretty cold at night. They are also gross. I thought I would contract a disease sleeping there. They are not cleaned, they are foam (maybe) matress pads with a plastic cover (get ready for a stiff back!). The pillow cases aren't even changed reguarly. There is no lock and key for the shared rooms. There are lockers for very small items, but they are expensive. everything is so overpriced and nothing is included in the price (sleeping bangs, shower, washer, dryer, there isnt even toilet paper...bring your own!) and its bout an hour away from amsterdam centraal...if your a backpacker..spend a few more euros and stay in the city. this place would be sweet if i was just camping.. but i am backpacking through europe and didnt find itt convienient at all Dorota, from Canada ~ 15th Jul 2009

be careful: it is a camping!! you sleep in little wood houses without blanket on the bed and its cold in the night and very hot during the day: one more thing it is SO far from the down town about 1hour by metro and bus it is situated near the airport.. but there are advantages if you like rabbit there are many!! we were surprised but it was fun... The Hostel is OK for the price. The beds are not very clean and you have to pay for everything (80 cents for a 6 minutes shower). You have to rent a sleeping bag otherwise you will sleep in a cold mattress with a stinking pillow. Tiago, from Brazil ~ 18th Jun 2009

staying on the boat was definitly an adventure that added to our Amsterdam experience. The breakfast was great and the staff was very friendly. Shannon, from USA ~ 15th Jun 2009

A good budget alternative. A bit cheap that you have to pay extra for everything, including toilet paper (!). Very helpful staff in the reception. Quite lengthy to get downtown since you need to take first bus, then tram. Henrik, from Sweden ~ 25th May 2009

Just what we were looking for. Outside the city and with bunnirabbits hopping around outside. Mette, from Denmark ~ 25th May 2009

Türk arkadaşlara not:kısa süreliğine gidiyorsanız şehire yakın bir yeri tercih etmenizi öneririm.ama yer bulamadıysanız yinede gidilebilecek bir yer.metrolarda bilet kontrolü nadir oluyor. gidişi bedavaya getirebilirsiniz Very friendly place. I really like there.Bostel is a mixing about Nature and peace. allways green. but It's really far away from Amsterdam.yes it's cheap but please think about bus and metro preises in Amsterdam. And your time.because going to amsterdam take nil, from Turkey ~ 24th May 2009
