For all the hostel options in Cusco, Im sure this was just as good as any. We slept well in comfortable beds, it wasnt too loud as its nestled on a back street, and its a straight shot 10 min walk to Plaza de Armas. Yes, its uphill on the way back, but no big deal. Showers are hot in the morning, not any other time. Internet works, breakfast is simple but fine. We left some stuff there while we hiked Machu Picchu and they gave us bags to put it in, and it was all there when we returned. We staye Jackie, from USA ~ 13th Nov 2011

Definitely recommend this hostal! All of the staff were very sweet and helpful, going out of their way to help my boyfriend and I cancel a reservation for another hostal, bringing our clothes in to dry when it was raining, helping us buy tickets online for macchu picchu, and answering any questions we had.The hostal itself is very homey, lots of light in the common spaces, fast internet, and a good breakfast each morning. We fully enjoyed our stay here! lindsay, from USA ~ 20th Sep 2011

Nice breakfast, wake up early to have a normal portion. Wake up early to have hot water (not a lot more than for one shower). Comfortable beds, nice staff. A little far from the center (15 minutes walk). Jennifer, from Canada ~ 16th Jun 2011

We stayed in 3 different private rooms (6 days in total) and each room had a musty smell.Hot water in the showers is just warm. However, the staff is nice and you could use the kitchen for cooking your own meals if you wish, which we found extremelly helpful. Marsela, from Canada ~ 24th May 2011

The "Dream Hostel" turned out to be a nightmare hostel. The room was dirty, without any window and very humid. It was impossible to breath. To have a bit of hot water, we had to shower at 5 am. There was water only in the morning for a few hours and then no water at all not even cold water. We couldn't cook nor flush the toilet!!! The staff did nothing about it. As this type of situation happens a lot there you should be prepared and supply your guests with water. It's the least to do. Joƫlle, from Switzerland ~ 28th Apr 2011

A really nice hostel, made excellent by the fantastic staff that go out of their way to help you. Nice long breakfast, 7 - 11! They store your bags fro free if you do any of the treks and the hostel is really secure. Only downsides - hot water is...unlikely and the hill from town to the hostel is a bit much sometimes but good practice for treks! Sharlene, from England ~ 26th Feb 2011
