No breakfast provided, contrary to what was suggested on website. Toilets/bathroom extremely unclean. Unisex bathrooms with no bench space. Double room small with no double blankets supplied - we had to use 3 single blankets. Overpriced. Kerryn, from Australia ~ 19th May 2009

Good blend of relaxing/pub atmosphere especially when compared with other hostels on street. Some clothes got stolen from line but thats not hostels fault. Room was quite smelly, bathrooms kept clean tho Elizabeth, from Ireland ~ 5th May 2009

Loud place. Bar downstairs, plays music non-stop from 9am or earlier -10pm every day. Gets pretty annoying if you're just hanging around the hostel for the day. Doors slam when they close. V annoying when doors are slamming every 4 minutes in the middle of the night.Deposit for cutlery. Not enough fridge space, doors can't even close so it leaks water all over everyone's stuff. Pretty geoss. Staff comes in several times a day for 'room checks' (supposedly for alcohol) but even at 10am... weird

"Supposedly for alcohol?" We enter the rooms twice a day, firstly at 11am to make sure guests that are leaving have checked out and secondly for cleaning between10am & 3pm. We do not permit alcohol in room areas as this is what the majority of people want! The automatic closers on the doors may be v annoying but are there to prevent the spread of fire. Fridges are being upgraded!

only stayed one night, very clean, looked like it has been recently painted. bathrooms spotless. good crack in the bar.. lads pretending to be strippers was the nights entertainment very funny!!! Emma, from Ireland ~ 24th Mar 2009

we were disappointed that our bathroom door was being painted when returned in the afternoon, and even more annoyed that our skirting board was being painted the following morning early, why book a room that is in need of urgent paint, when we have paid for that room. i found that it was an invasion on our privacy. we paid for the double ensuite but could not use the toilet as we had the painter in there painting. hostal itself for lovely apart from there being 3 of us in the room. peter, from England ~ 8th Apr 2009
