I have always stayed at this hostel when I come to NYC. The staff is so friendly and accomodating. The location is perfect. It is near the action but away from the noise. Brandi, from USA ~ 18th Mar 2010

I really recommend this place. Location is the best part about this place; it is safe and close to the subways. Staff was helpful and friendly. Rooms were bare but clean and new-looking. The staff I spoke with said almost all rooms are not converted to two-person rooms, which is a great plus. Overall it's a great deal. BUT It is quite noisy outside of the hostel in the late evening and early in the morning-- if someone is a light sleeper, he/she might have trouble sleeping. Simple, clean rooms located in a nice, conveniently-located building - two subway stops, lots of eating places nearby and area remains populated even late at night. Staff are young and friendly, common areas get a little crowded but are comfy. Free wireless in common areas a plus! Room could do with a chair or couple hooks for coats and such, and tend to get cold at night. But all in all, great value for money if you're looking for a basic, safe space to crash in at night! My daughter and I found ourselves on an enforced budget after booking a holiday for longer than we could aford! And so we ended our time in New York before flying home. The Broadway Hotel provided us with a place to stay at a low cost. There were aspects of the Broadway Hotel which were better than a more expensive place. I will ceratinly stay there again. Never got to stay because they closed down for coding violations. Went to the lobby to get my refund and it would of been nice if we could experience it. But we have nothing to day but it gave us a lot of stress to find out that they were not able to accomodate our stay.
