Since I was travelling by myself to NYC, I didn't know what to expect. I was unsure of this hostel/hotel's location, nearby stores etc. Ater just arriving back home in Australia, I can safely say that this place was perfect for travelling alone. It was in a safe part of the city and was easy for me to travel around late in the night via the subway. Thank you staff! Daniel, from Australia ~ 7th Oct 2009

The only thinh I could put my finger on, was the beds, it was pretty hard to sleep in it. Maybe a top mattress would be something to consider. Othervise, I had nothing to put my finger on. Excellent service and great staff, made my stay better. Sirin, from Norway ~ 4th Oct 2009

This is the worst hostel we've ever stayed. It was not clean (genital hairs on the pillow, black dirt at the end of the lines, towels at all, bathroom - hairs everywhere). The staff was very unfriendly. The mattress was awful, hard - we got pain from the feathers. It was loud, because we heard everything from the floor. And the doors were not oiled since 40 years. They squeaked awful. I would recommend to spend 20 more dollars and to stay in a hotel somewhere else. Nikolaus, from Germany ~ 2nd Oct 2009
