I didn't have any problems with security; however, I've heard that someone's personal belongings were stolen, which made me cautious. Some staff is nice and friendly, but others aren't.

its a great place to meet people but the hostel wasnt that great. the shower often ran out of hot water, the internet is not free, as it said in the website and the tax isnt included so its more expensive than it seems.

Aside from waiting for a good while for a shower to open up, my experience at this hostel was perfectly satisfactory. All I was looking for was a bed and a bathroom for an overnight stay and this place naturally met those needs. The showers were far better than I expected, to be honest, with a gigantic overhead showerhead. Might want to wear shower footies, though, as it is a communal bathroom and, well, you never know if the floor's truly clean. The stay reminded me of summer camp.

This was one of the best hostals I've ever stayed in! Super clean, safe and modern (4 flatscreens for movies and news in the lounge area and 10 computers for hire!). My only negative would have to be the location -- at 101st W it was a bit of a trek to get to if you're not familiar with the city, but once you get used to the subway system, it's a piece of cake to get to! Great time!!

Nice secure location close to the subway, clean and friendly staff. I recommend it.

We had trouble with other guests in our room (drunken people making lot of noise and one was "having fun with himself"...), but we could switch into a double room for the next night. Shared bathrooms were really clean, but the rooms don't look as nice as on the photos... Metro two blocks away, on street parking (for free) worked well. Our first and last stay in a hostel, but if you like hostels this is okay.

The pictures are inaccurate; except for three bunk bed sets, a sink, and an AC unit, our room was bare. We only stayed a night, but we were satisfied to find such a deal on the -1- line. We were going to get in much later than planned, and when we called the staff, they were pleasant and helpful, and even earmarked a 6-bed room for the 5 of us. Overall a good stay and a great bargain.
