Unbeatable location, poor housekeeping. The carpets are stained and the bedding was iffy. No secure storage for large luggage.

I enjoyed my stay at Brodies 2 immensely, the staff was so nice to me, and I felt very safe and at home there. Just wanted to say thanks for your hospitality, oh yeah and the location couldn't have been better!

The best thing, staff charge your mobile at the reception for free, so you don't have to buy an adaptor for British plugs if you come from a foreign country. The worst: the facilities are really poor and derelict. Very old and not renewed. Old, cracky and small bedrooms. Tiny toilets and showers. No baggage storage, you just leave your baggage in the corridor after checking out or before checking in.

Great kitchen, but shower room is not ventilated at all which leads to a rather dingy smell and incredible humidity after showers.

This hostel has its own unique "homely" feel due to the lounge and kitchen area where you think you are actually sitting in someone's lounge or kitchen. The hostel is in a great location and if you are on you're way to/from a Haggis Tour this is the place to stay.

The only problem was trying to figure out which shower would give you the best water pressure - some had loads and others none. But otherwise a great place and would recommend it to anyone! The location and cleanliness was the best part.
