Very close to bus station and short walk to city attractions. The rooms were small but clean, and the kitchen/lounge was great. I didn't go to the bar downstairs but it seemed nice, and it was quiet while I was there (although it was a weekday during the off-season). I probably wouldn't bother visiting Cork again, but if I did I would stay here. Mimi, from Canada ~ 17th Jan 2012

Enjoyed my stay, everything good but please put a curtain/screen in the shower as the bathroom floor was flooded everytime someone had a shower. Michael, from England ~ 27th Dec 2011

A nice place within walking distance of downtown Cork. Having the bar below the hostel was very convenient and wasn't too loud, although we were there on a weekday during the off season. The breakfast was definitely a little meager (just coffee, tea, and toast). Austin, from USA ~ 20th Oct 2011

bed was comfy, sheets were clean, bathroom was clean, bar was excellent and the longisland was great. The hangover was not ..but the sun and a rugby match cleared that up (and a drink from my ozzie friends) Martijn, from Netherlands ~ 28th Sep 2011

The 6 beds room is too small for 6 people in my opinion, but there are baskets below them to put some stuff inside so that's good. Jessica, from Spain ~ 15th Aug 2011

It is a good hostel, but the rooms are very small and it gets noisy at night if your room is on the main street. Goran, from Croatia ~ 17th Aug 2011

The six-bed dorm is crowded.Thank God that we left our large pieces of luggage in the car, or there would be no space for them.I was smothering in that stuffy room that night and loud noise from boys in another room woke me up at 3 a.m.That was definitely not a wise choice except that they provided free Internet. Bur Bar exceeded my expectations. I loved that they have a fridge and kitchen space for longer term guests. Great location and staff! I was very pleased with my stay. Stephanie, from USA ~ 2nd Jul 2011

what a damn great hostel.the bar downstairs makes it super easy to socialize, the rooms are cozy and clean, good security.. it was a bit far from city center (not really) but it was worth staying there. loved it!! plus it was good to be amongst kiwis again (: Sarah, from USA ~ 25th Jun 2011
