Daniel & Gabor-very kind We got apartment for 2 of us instead of room this was fine with us Shower door needs to be installed or you will have damage! Excellent location in heart of Budapest Hot until we got fan-left window open all nite be prepared for street noise! Would stay there again

The bathroom is in bad condition. There is no door in the shower, so everything gets soaked wet. Please put doors there and have doormats or towels to dry the floor!!!

Buda Base is fantastic! We stayed at five different hostels on our trip, and this was our favorite by far. Daniel and Gabor were helpful and accommodating, and the atmosphere was friendly and open. The hostel is in a quiet part of town, but public transport is conveniently located nearby. The private room ensuite is actually a small apartment with a kitchenette--cute and cozy. Highly recommended. If we go back to Budapest, we know where we\'ll stay.

Location is super. Very small hostel with great charm, is more of an apartment with one dorm and a few private rooms. One private is upstairs from the dorm but has no wall seperating the two, just a banister and yes, one is curtained off from the dorm itself which may disappoint some. I loved it here, small, quiet, very clean, awesome staff... nothings a problem and full of knowledge, plus an awesome location and cheap. I would recommend and stay again!!
Great hostel at a fantastic location, right on the river on the Buda side. Very helpful staff and very clean. Would definitely stay here again.
I loved this hostel. Staff went out of their way to be helpful. We were able to leave our bags and collect them later on the day of check-out and whiole staying there never had any doubts about security. We stayed in a '2 bed mixed dorm', which was a kind of balcony over-looking the main room for sleeping. Private enough and meant that we didn't feel like we were in a tiny room. We had LOADS of storage to lock away our stuff in.
