I've stayed in about a dozen highly-rated hostels in Europe, and I don't think a hostel can get better than this one: perfect location, very secure, very clean, perfect size (quite small by hostel standards with around 30 beds, but that number is actually great: large enough that there are plenty of people to meet, but small enough that you can actually meet them instead of being lost in the hotel-like impersonality that many larger hostels possess), and perhaps the most amazing staff member of any hostel anywhere in owner Olga, who is welcoming and eminently helpful. If one were to set out to create the best hostel ever, he or she could do no better than to copy precisely the Budapest Bubble.

The Budapest Bubble is a great place, and the owner Olga is a really nice person! The whole time i had the feeling that I was staying not in a hostel but at a friend house. My host-mother , who´s in her early 50 really liked the hostel , so it is just the perfekt place for everyone!

This is one of the friendliest hostels I've ever stayed in! Olga is the perfect hostess! Upon our arrival we were given a map and pointed out personal recommendations of things to see and do. We stayed in a shared room and a private room and both were brilliant. Everyone has their own locker in the shared rooms, and the bunkbeds are really comfy and well laid out. The private room was really cosy too! There are 2 showers and free internet, and the kitchen is really well equipped (until you break the glasses- sorry!!) and there's a comfy lounge area too. Every night there is something to do and you're made to feel so welcome that it'd be perfect if you were a solo visitor, as you'd be included in everything. It's in a perfect location too- right next to the National Museum. There are restaurants and shops all close by and the Metro stations are super close too. There are so many hostels to choose from in Budapest, but if you want somewhere with a great location, friendly people, clean rooms and really safe and laid back, go to the Bubble!

Budapest Bubble is an amazing place. I've been travelling for almost three months now and it is my favourite hostel yet. Great staff - Olga runs the hostel and she is extremely friendly and nice. The place and the people make you feel at home. It's easy to get to from the train station and pretty close to everything.
Budapest is a cool city, but even if it wasn't, it would worth going there just to stay at the Bubble.

Not the sort of place if you're in budapest for late nights and drunken parties but ideal for everyone else!

I really had a great time at the Budapest Bubble. The staff there is unreal. She will do your laundry, keeps the rooms clean and answers any questions you could possible have about the city. The locations is excellent. Up to the north is the bridge, castle and the basilica. Down to the south about a 10 minute walk are three great clubs. And although the building looks a little sketchy, it is totally safe. The atmosphere in the hostel is very unique and fun. There is a pretty good size common area with a kitchen that all the travelers hang out in the morning and before they head out at night. The crowd was pretty young which made it all the better. If im back in Budapest anytime soon, Im staying at the Bubble.
