  • This hostel was very nice. The rooms were large and comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. One complaint: the bikes they offer to rent are terrible. A lot of them were falling apart. When we finally got 2 that suited us, we didn't get very far before one lost a part and the chain fell off. They said they were going to take them back to the shop, because they are new, so just make sure they did. But they were very friendly about the whole mishap.

  • Our original flight was cancelled when we started our trip, but the hostel kept our rooms for us and didn't charge us for that lost day. The rooms were clean, conveniently located at the end of the main street of Guilin. We had an abysmal time at the Yangshuo hostel we went to, and couldn't wait to come back to buddy's. "I miss my buddy!!!"

  • While I stayed at Buddys I met no other guests, what so ever. I had a eight person dorm all to my self. Had there been a couple of other guests this would probably have been a great hostel, it is extremely cheap, the location is perfect, 5 min. to everything, the staff is not great at english, but they get an A+ for trying, and the day trips they booked for me were great! Staying as a gruop or in highseason this is a great hostel, but I do not recommend it as a hostel for a single traveller

Practically, Barcelona is a pretty easy city to navigate on foot or by public transport with a well laid-out grid system for the streets and a simple metro system. Here's an example of what you can do with 24 hours and a T10 (10 journey) metro ticket.
