The place is very clean, but the common room is usually full of the sharp smell of the washing liquid. It would be good for health to reduce the usage of chemical washing liquid and to protect the environment. Anyway, the Budget Backpackers is an excellent choice to stay in Edinburgh. Thanks!

Good hostel, great city, great location. Bathrooms were very clean, room itself was clean, luggage room was nice and secure, although having to pay for the locker was an unpleasant surprise! Fun hostel, didn't pay for the breakfast so can't really tell you about that too much. Very secure as well.
Had a great time. Huge room, very clean and comfortable, went on a a really fun pub crawl with a bunch of other travelers. Highly recommended.

The common bathrooms were dirty! there was poo on the toilet for 2 days, and the carpet doesn't know what vacuuming means lol! Great staff and excellent location.
