first the hostel was not at all what you wrote on netpage, large patio, big rooms. Second there is 3 hostel under same management Hongkong, Hongkong budget and Asia hostel. We booked Hongkong budget wich was nothing like Hostelworld advertise, we get room from Asia hostel, small room with broken television. Ofcourse we came to see Hongkong, not to spend time in hostel but.
The location is good but you get hounded by the guys outside the hostel wanting you to buy fake bags and watches. It becomes rather irritating after a while!!

We were pleasantly surprised with this hostel because we had heard such awful things about hostels in HongKong. Highly recommend this place. Beware when you find the building (look for kingston st building, pretty tough to find), they will bring you to another building just around the corner and up to the third floor where the office for about three hostels is located (budget hostel, HongKong Hostel and Wang Fat Hostel I think), but the rooms for each hostel are different, the office is the only thing that is the same. Others who were staying at the other hostels in the same building didnt seem too impressed, but our room was great, very small, but clean and new with a flat screen TV! No complaints.

This hostel was empty on the night I reached there (but likely to be open during the day). If not for a foreigner who knew about a nearby hostel, I could really end up lodging in an expensive hotel room instead. The attendant at the latter hostel was good, though.

safe & happy stay, even though everything smelt of either sweat or damp. I stress though - it was a very safe & very happy stay. Sam the manager is an angel.
There's a good common room on the fifth floor of the patterson building for meeting people. Its also got a fridge for storing beers, always a plus! The internet room is good for that kind of thing too.

A nice & big hostel in best location, especially for shopping. and also the staff was very helpful & the price was reasonable. I will come back again and recomment this for all of you.....Ego
