  • Room is very small. But their staff is very helpful. It's just 5 min walk to the airline bus stop & metro station. It's good for short stay for 1 or 2 days.

  • Maybe it's a Hong Kong thing, but many hostels seem to have multiple "branches" and their amenities (like fridge, internet, English-speaking personnel) seem to be spread among the different locations. This means you sometimes have to walk outside for several minutes to the different locations to get what you want. This hostel was very secure and it was somewhat clean and functioned well. I only wish their staff was more knowledgable and more available, though they were friendly enough

  • Okay, so something is skeptical about this place. Budget Hostel isn't their name and that is not their address, no wonder I couldn't find any information (reviews) or map of their hostel online. The address brought me to someone's home and I was directed to a different hostel, which was apparently managed by the same person. The pictures look much better than the place in person. The bathrooms are filthy. The tub looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months and so did the common area and hallways. The WiFi was poor. The place was pretty old, but the beds were new and the A/C worked. Plus, the manager was nice and helpful so I really didn't complain.

  • A couple of Chinese (mainlanders) ladies tried to sleep on our the sofa in the middle of the night, which made me feel unsecure. We asked them (they only spoke putonghua) why they were there and they told us they always slept on the couch or on the beds if there were available ones. Please do not let that happen again, out bags and computers were there and it just made us all (everyone in the room) feel really awkward. They had their own key and complained about us making noise. We were paying.

  • This hostel's very good location for shopping and transportation. The hostel's very close Broadway Bay MTR by walking about 5 mins. There're many shopping center near the hotel such as Sogo department store about 5 mins by walking, Time Squares about 15 mins by walking etcs. You can walk to Victoria park about 5 mins. The hostel's very quite to stay. There're many trams, buses in front of Sogo department store so you can go everywhere in Hong Kong island.

  • A cheaper option in Hong Kong that is ok if you don't expect much! The owner he is very nice and helpful but the ladies working in the reception at some times are rude and not prepared to help you in any way! The lounge area is small and people smoke indoors. The rooms are small and basic and nothing to brag about but the location is good!

  • We're supposed to stay at Budget Hostel, a very nice inn, but it was fully booked. We were led to another sister hostel, Kingston Inn, on the same building 2 floors up. It was just as good!Room size are just right, not big but not too small either.Complete with toiletries and clean towels.Locations is excellent, near to anything you need. There's even a grocery downstairs. The only downside, they speak little English and cable TV is almost unusable as all shows are in Chinese.Best value for money!
