Well the accomodation price is certainly quite tempting, matched with satisfactory breakfasts and a centrally located position near the train station and Dam square,but frankly i can't site anything more in favour of this establishment.We were offered a dump, hot room with minimum ventilation.Imagine waking up soaked in sweat and feeling your body overwhelmingly exhausted.Hygiene was not of high standards either (dirty showers each morning). The staff was generally unhelpfull and cold in its conduct (serve with a smile was definitely not the case) reacting each time as if they've done you a favor...Honestly a difference of 15$ per night is no subsistute for a good night's sleep.Not recommended unless you' re desperately short on money or in a masochistic mood.

Rooms generally fairly clean, but staff really not very knowledgeable about amsterdam, and not very helpful either! This hostel is in the smaller red light district, so expect a fair bit of nighttime noise.

My stay at Budget Hotel was awesome. The only problem was when i had to leave I asked for a wake up call that never came making me miss my early flight home. No worries though I kept their key they kept my deposit we will call it even I guess. The staff were all actually pretty cool just that one thing. The security was great my own locker big enough for all my stuff. The cleanliness was good as well. The location is the best part of this hostel since you are only a few minute walk from Dam Square and the Red Light District is right out the front door you will never run out of things to do. Great place will definitely come back.

the hostel is in good condition but there is one thing that I have to mention that dormitories are small and the weather is very hot inside the rooms in summer. It would be rather if therewas an air conditionig system.

If you need a bed in the city center, this is the place for you. There isn't much for hanging out and meeting people, but it was a great location at a reasonable price. If staying the weekend you are required to stay the whole weekend...that includes sunday night.
