Very nice hostel overall. New and clean. The only downside is that is it located on the drinking street in Cardiff, so great if you're planning to go out on Friday and Saturday night, but if not, bring some earplugs! Geraldine, from France ~ 28th Mar 2012

- This is not a hostel : no kitchen, it is forbidden to have drinks or food in the rooms + impossible to drink your own alcohol in the living room !! - very unfriendly staff, no fun inside the hostel. - there are cameras everywhere in the hostel and they check your every move = not a nice atmosphere, nobody is drinking or playing games in the corridors.. - no heating in the corridors and the bathrooms. - Positive point : very good location, comfortable beds, free breakfast til 9am.
The corridors are also fire escape routes and so should not be clogged with people drinking and playing games and the cameras are there for our guests security! We have a responsible approach to drinking at the Hostel that is why we do not let guests take drink to their rooms as we cannot monitor their drinking.

It's a great location, near everything, the bus station, the shopping district and the motorpoint arena, and close to everything. It's in the middle of Cardiff and easy to go everywhere. Aldis, from Iceland ~ 18th Nov 2011

Excellent dorms with comfortable, made up beds, very clean and secure, and great that there's a bar and club within the building - the place is much more geared up towards groups out on the town than backpackers. Some annoyances though, such as a £1 charge for any card payment (including debit cards) and a dreadful breakfast (all that was on offer was poor quality tea, coffee, cornflakes and toast and jam).
