Location was good. A lot of long term people here who tend to leave dorm doors open when no1 is around so not the securest of places. Apart from that a nice place where everyone is friendly.

Great hostel. Very clean bathroom, kitchen and dorms. Definatly recommend!

My only fault with with hostel was that they play music in the communal area/kitchen area until 10.30pm, and people hang out there making noise until 11pm. It's quite loud even when you're in your room. So if you want an early night you can forget about it.

Of all the hostels I've done over time, the layout and design of Byron Bay YHA has BY FAR been my favorite! Great atmosphere, enjoyable (even in the rain!), great location, just a great, fun experience. Loved it!!! Wish I could have stayed longer!

Decent place but pretty standard considering the price. Rooms are very basic.

Good facilities but room was very dark, even with light on.
Staff did not wake up throughout the night while there was a lot of banging on tables, running, people being extremely loud until 430am the lighting in the room was aweful couldn't see; procedures in case of emergencies or needing to contact staff regarding the loud noises were not explained and front desk was closed and other staff members staying on the premis weren't seen.
