Lupita couldn't have been a nicer gal to chat with and our room was very clean. The shower had plenty of hot water and the location is plenty close to the center of town to make it very convenient to walk to any restaurant, shop, or the local heladeria for a tasty scoop of ice cream. We loved this hostel. Definitely have Lupita make you a traditional Costa Rican breakfast in the morning. It is AMAZING!! The place is like a bed and breakfast, not really a hostel. Great walking distance to EVERYTHING, but just be aware that Julio (the guy who schedules any tours you may want) is in the business for money and will do what is necessary to take care of himself first although he is very accomodating. Very nice place to stay. The water was ice cold though! Only cold water. Check prices in the city if you are on a budget before booking a tour with Julio (he works with the hostel to book tours). Also on the tour with Julio he asked us to bring our lunch and drinks and lets just say they helped themselves to our drinks and food! They replaced one drink; however, one was not replaced!
