Decent bar to get to know people & decent buffet\'s in the evening. Good security & free rides to town about 2k\'s away. Room\'s like a prison cell, nothing in them & kitchen & bathroom one\'s of the poorest we stayed in-kitchen as v few utensils! Average!

Awesome hostel, lots of ferns and palms that give the pool area and other common places alot of character and tropical feel. Staff were awesome, made our experience there great! Clean rooms, but kitchens could use some more cutlery.

cool place but could organise more interactive nights on site e.g quizes etc. But staff were pleasant and it is a cool hostel. could also maybe do a bus run into town between 6.30 and 11.30 as people want to go after dinner which is at 6.30

This is a really sweet hostel to stay at. The staff are so bright and bubbly on your arrival which is so refreshing and they really make sure you make the most of your stay. Also the most fantastic 9$ all you can eat buffet of an evening. I am a real foodie and the grub was top notch!!!! Fantastic. Yes it is situated a little out of town, but it is a really nice and safe walk in and alternatively the hostel offers a free shuttle to and from town every hour or so.

Very noisy - a party hostel. Very nice pool and friendly staff though. The breakfast isn't great.
The culture and the staff at Calypso far exceeded our expectations. HIGHLY recommend this place!

Food is excellent and you can't go wrong for $9 for dinner but kitchen is very tiny so not much room if you decide to cook yourself. Otherwise great hostel with ever so helpful staff.
