the people from the reception very friendly, very different than the bouncers. strange (in a bad way) people from not the hostel in the bar.

Staff was nice. Let us switch to a room with a mirror so I could do my hair since there weren't any electrical outlets in the bathroom. Furniture could use a good scrub-down and/or should be replaced. The blankets should also be washed a bit more often. Security seemed good when I checked in, but found out it sucks because my friend snuck a companion upstairs into our room. I checked out a day early because of that incident.

Be careful when you get in the shower. The water temperature is variable and when someone flushes the toilet it gets HOT! I still have some mild burns. Also, there are roaches here so if you have any food make sure it is well sealed.

This hostel has a great location, right in gastown, close to Chinatown and Stanley Park. It is definitely loud though, so if you want an early night, this isn't the place to be. If you are looking for good clubs, bars, restaurants and shopping, there is lots here. The rooms have a funny smell, and the place is only somewhat clean. Overall though, a decent hostel

Don´t forget to get the Cambie card if you are staying for three or more days. The staff won´t tell you about it if you don´t ask. Not the greatest staff I´ve dealt with.

I little lively with the pubs and bars downstairs, but it does exactly what it says on the tin, and the little cafe is good wake up! Make up your own mind

It is too noisy that you cannot take a rest. The room is too dirty that you will feel uncomfortable.

great location. gastown has a lot of cheap and nice restaurants. close to chinatown. 1 mile from amtrak/greyhound. lots of dive bars.
