The bus to the hostel takes 1 hour of winding roads, the hostel has minimal accomidations. You must buy a cap to use the pool. They wake you up at 10 to clean (this means taking 5 min to sweep the floor) and you must check out before 9am which is rediclious if you ask me. Also I watched at the cleaning staff refolded blankets used the night before and put them back into the locker for the next unsuspecting traveler to use without being cleaned. I was told of a case of bed bugs aswell. Lastly I was attempting to buy a take away pizza and was told 2 times to come back 30 min later and finally told then I was to pay for my pizza and they have it ready the 3rd time I returned. ...if you can find a hostel elsewhere look into it.

Although we were "upgraded" to private rooms, thez were full of ants, and up a hill, away from any of the main facilities like the pool or shop or restaurant. Also, there were a lot of rules regarding pool closing times, and check in/out times. Finally, we did laundry, and there was only one dryer, so we had to wait forever for our turn.

Well our vision of this hostel was completely different than the reality of it. The website said things that made us think one way about it when it was not like what we pictured at all. It is very, very far away from the city of Florence itself. That was a big disappointment for us. We thought we were going to be able to quickly hop on a bus and get there but that was not the case. Our room felt like a gym lockeroom. Not clean, smelled bad. We were told towels were included, but they are not. If you want to swim, you must have a swim cap; we were not aware of this, but you can buy them there. There is a restaurant there, however the food is not all that great. Everything seemed to be frozen food just warmed up. So the view was great, but we were in the middle of nowhere and overall were not pleased with this place.

Poggetto is the best place to learn Italian because the staff are very friendy. For those who like to keep fit, walking in the countryside of Tuscany is a must. The restaurant is of good quality and the pizza and prices are reasonable.Il be back next year.

The property itself is very nice, clean, safe, with a restaurant which is open until 22h. The staff was VERY kind and welcoming, very helpful. We stayed in a 4 person cabin with private washroom, and kitchen. The water temperature went from ice cold to scalding hot and back, and the bathroom is really cold! You can rent a remote for the heater for 5euros, I strongly suggest getting it. Be forewarned, if you are planning to head to Florence, it is at least a 1hr bus ride on winding roads (maybe pack some gravol!), and the bus that goes there is not that frequent. The last bus back to the Camping leaves at 21h, and it is not in in the bus terminal, which is not the one right in front of the train station (ask where to catch it to avoid last minute panic). Overall, the place was nice. I would stay there again if I can't find anything closer to Florence.

This campsite wasn;t very friendly and we didn;t feel welcomed at all in comparison to the other two campsites that we stayed at.
